Harnessing mobiles to address intercultural problems in health care

A Grundtvig/EU Lifelong Learning Programme

About/ Goals

Goals and Rationale

This partnership includes the Linnaeus University (Sweden), Folk high school Augsburg (Germany) and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland.

In this project it is intended to explore the potential of mobile devices and related (social networking) technologies and services in addressing intercultural communication problems of migrant families in the area of health care, in particular in the field of pediatrics. How can mobile technologies support the learning of parents and carers from migration backgrounds about helping chronically ill children in the accomplishment of everyday life and education-related tasks in order to preventing isolation during extended periods in hospital?

The project is supported by the European Union’s Lifelong Learning programmes / Grundtvig
